Apple chutney is simple with a sharp hint of green chilli taste, the apple flavor is subtle. I enjoyed watching Twist of Taste with Vineet Bhatia and that's where I adapted this recipe from. Quantities are my own. His recipes are unique and he gives an interesting twist to already existing dishes. Anything from dahi vada ice cream to curry leaf ice cream or even chocolate modaks .
This chutney can be served as an accompaniment to hot soups . Perfect as an evening snack too. Quick & easy to make ! I made it as a smooth puree, it can be made coarse too . Hot buttered toast topped with this chutney is refreshing & light. I loved it so much, I enjoyed eating this delicious chutney just as is

- Apple chutney is great as a salad dressing too
- Dip sliced apples, pears or any fruit in chutney and bite in, tastes great
- Optional : After the chutney is spread on the toast , the taste of chilli is light, so one more chilli can be added when making the chutney or you can add chaat masala
- Spread chutney on hot toast only at serving time, otherwise bread slices will becomes soft & soggy
- You can decorate bread slices with pomegranate seeds or thin apple slices over chutney spread
- Consume in a day
